V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is a broad classical research university
V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was founded in 1804 and opened in 1805 on the initiative of Vasyl Karazin. Its current academic structure includes schools and institutes for biology, geology and geography, economics, foreign languages, history, computer science, mathematics, medicine, psychology, radiophysics, sociology, physics, philology, philosophy, chemistry, law, public administration, business, and banking.
