Academic preferences can be sensitive. We collect only what supports a useful discovery and application workflow for international STEM researchers.
In short
Public browsing does not require an account. Optional Google Analytics stays off until you allow it. Privacy-reduced performance measurement helps us keep the public site reliable. Profile and application data stay in the product database and out of public marketing claims.
Information you choose to provide
When account features are available, profile details may include your academic level, field, destination preferences, nationality for eligibility checks, and funding needs. We use these details for discovery and application planning, not to invent admission odds.
Website measurement
Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights help us measure page performance and general usage. URLs are filtered to remove private routes, query strings, and record identifiers. Optional Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics.
Service providers
AcademicWings uses managed providers for hosting, databases, authentication, payments, content, and monitoring. Providers receive only the information needed to operate their part of the service.
Your choices
You can decline optional analytics. Signed-in users can request an account export or deletion from Profile. Recording a request does not return a full export file or delete the account immediately; staff complete those workflows separately. For access or correction questions, contact us.
Security and retention
Access is limited by role and service need. We keep operational and account data only as long as needed for the service, legal requirements, security, and dispute handling.

Is optional analytics on by default?
No. Optional Google Analytics loads only after you allow analytics. You can decline and still use the public site.
Can I export or delete my account data?
Signed-in users can record an export or deletion request from Profile. Those buttons store the request; they do not stream a complete archive or finish deletion in the same step. Do not email passwords or confidential application documents.
